The challenge

In 2023, Sky New Zealand was navigating a rapidly changing market, intense new competition and a disengaged workforce. Incoming CEO Sophie Moloney moved quickly to reshape the culture — and brought in Leadership Boost to help.

The programme

A multi-layer Boost Programme for 100 leaders across the organisation — from executives (including CE) to frontline. This involved 8 monthly in-person leadership events, a full Leadership Boost Toolkit, and a new rhythm of leadership conversations embedded across the business.

The results

  • Year 1: Staff engagement up +14% (Culture Amp)

  • Year 2: Up a further +1%

  • Year 3: Up a further +7%

Three consecutive years of improvement — through restructures, redundancies and a merger.
Leadership Boost continues to run new cohorts at Sky today, alongside ongoing Quarterly Boost sessions.
